In photography there is a reality so subtle that it becomes more real than reality.
My Name
Arkan is an award-winning film director. His documentary film Daghwah (2015) landed him multiple nominations,
including Best Director of a Short Documentary at the Tenerife International Film Festival. Daghwah has
screened at multiple other festivals such as the American Documentary Film Festival, Brooklyn Film Festival
and the Academy Qualifying Athens International Film & Video festival.
In 2016, Arkan directed Welcome to My House, a documentary music video for the Seattle-based band, Luc
and The Lovingtons. Executive produced by singer-songwriter Jason Mraz, the music video was filmed on
location between The Za’atari Refugee Camp in Jordan, and the Pacific Northwest of the United States.
With many years of experience in creating visual content for various media platforms and high profile
brands such as; Canon, Lenovo, Ferrari and Red Bull, Arkan is currently based in Indonesia and works
on a diverse collection of projects.
In addition to his film and advertising work, Arkan is President for Voices of the Children, a non-profit
organisation focusing on pairing youth internationally in collaborative art projects to promote social
and global awareness.
